Gamba 1918

Visually Communicating a Century-Long Story

Gamba 1918 is an iconic Italian brand specialising in the design and production of bespoke linen and furniture. When the founders contacted us, they needed to translate the new logo into a coherent visual identity on digital and printed media. Therefore, we refined the brand’s visual storytelling to ensure it remained top-of-mind among high-end hospitality professionals and appeared compelling on social media. At the same time, we conceptualised and produced a series of ad campaigns featured in top industry publications.

Gamba 1918 is an iconic Italian brand specialising in the design and production of bespoke linen and furniture for luxury hotels, restaurants, and resorts. When the founders contacted us, they had just rebranded their logo and needed to translate it into a coherent visual identity on digital and printed media.

We immediately realized that the brand already possessed authority offline and was a genuine symbol of heritage. Therefore, our intention was to keep brand elements and details to acknowledge the decades of experience and rich history while adapting Gamba’s image to a modern, ever-evolving digital landscape with bold colours, illustrations, and snappy motion design.

There was no need to overturn Gamba’s visual identity; we just needed to refine the visual storytelling to ensure the brand remained top-of-mind among high-end hospitality professionals and appeared compelling on social media. So, we proceeded with designing static and motion graphics for different platforms in collaboration with their internal team and art director Checco Luzi.

Starting from this new and bold identity, we conceptualised and produced a series of ad campaigns featured in top industry publications such as GUEST, Hotel Domani, and Pambianco, using as a leitmotif the G iconography from the logo.
